
Men's Tennis Completes Day Two of Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational

CINCINNATI, OHIO - - Several members of the University of Louisville men's tennis team picked up singles wins as the Cardinals completed Saturday's play at the Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational. Doubles play was cancelled because of inclement weather.
"Robert Rotaru had a breakout weekend with wins over Wake Forest, Indiana and combined for a doubles win against Michigan State," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Robert has demonstrated that he will be a cornerstone for the success of the team this season."
Sophomore Robert Rotaru defeated Wake Forest's Mariusz Adamski 6-3, 6-7 (7-5), 10-5. Freshman Horatiu Oltean registered a win over Xavier's Doug Matthews 3-6, 6-3, 11-9. Freshman David Simon took down Xavier's Ra'ees Ismail 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Morton Sivertsen fell to Xavier's Brian Schubert 6-2 in the first set, but came back to win 7-6 (7-3), 10-3. Redshirt freshman Thibaut Barnoud defeated Michigan State's Brandan Kinkopf 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.
