Men's Tennis Closes Play at Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational

The University of Louisville men's tennis team won three of four doubles matches and combined for three singles wins to close out the Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational Sunday.

In singles action, freshman David Simon outlasted Brown's Basu Ratnam 7-6(4), 2-6, 12-10. Freshman Horatiu Oltean topped Xavier's Jeremy Miller 7-5, 6-2 and fellow freshman Morton Sivertsen defeated Xavier Quinn 6-4, 6-2.

In doubles, the team of Rotaru and Simon posted an 8-6 win over Michigan State's John Allara and Nick Rinks. Pablo Camacho and Chris Herrlinger teamed to beat the Spartans' Kyle Forger and Jason Norville 8-5. The freshman team of Barnoud and Oltean rolled to an 8-1 win over Michigan Stat's Alex Allon and Brandan Kinkopf.
