Louisville, Ky. - Tickets are now on sale for the University of Louisville men's and women's soccer teams' upcoming fall seasons. Tickets can be purchased by calling 502.852.5151, or visiting the two University of Louisville Athletic Ticket Offices located in the Student Activities Center and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Adults season tickets are $30, good for admission to all 18 home matches at Cardinal Park, including nine home matches for both the men's and women's teams. Youth season tickets for those ages 3 to 18 are $15. U of L students are admitted free to all Louisville soccer matches with a valid student ID.
Individual match tickets are also available at $5 for adults, $3 for ages 3 to 18, and for groups of 10 or more, tickets can be purchased at $2 apiece. Children two and under are admitted free of charge to all soccer games.
The men will open the season on August 25 as they host Memphis in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals will play an exhibition game against Evansville on August 13 in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. In state rival Kentucky will visit Cardinal Park on August 30. The Cardinals will also host BIG EAST opponents Notre Dame, Marquette, St. John's, DePaul and Villanova.
NCAA qualifier Nebraska will visit the Derby City on August 19 to open the women's season in the third annual Jenna Cooper Memorial Match. Conference opponents on the home schedule include Cincinnati, DePaul, St. John's, Syracuse, Villanova and Georgetown with non-conference tilts against Ohio and Xavier.
The Cardinal men's soccer team is entering the season under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Ken Lolla, who was previously at Akron. Lolla led the Zips to a No. 1 ranking last season and advanced to the Elite Eight before falling to national champion Maryland in penalty kicks. He guided the Cardinals to an undefeated record in the spring.
Karen Ferguson, the winningest coach in Cardinal history, enters her seventh season at the helm of the women's team. In 2005, their first season in the BIG EAST, the Cardinals went 11-8 overall and 6-5 in league play, advancing to the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST tournament.
