
Women's Golf Signs Two

Louisville, Ky. - Laura Anderson and Sara-Maude Juneau have signed to national letters of intent to continue their golf careers at the University of Louisville next year. Anderson is a senior at Monroe County High School and Juneau is a senior at La Gamaradiere High School in Quebec, Canada.
"Both players are a great fit for our program," said head coach Kelly Rothberg. "They have the great attitude and are very mature for their age. We are excited to have them join the Cardinal family."
Anderson played seven years of varsity golf at Monroe County. She earned all-region honors the last five seasons and was a region medalist the last three years. She earned all-state honors in 2005 and 2006. She was a U.S. Junior Qualifier in 2005 and won the Kentucky Women's Open this summer.
"Laura has a determination and dedication that I admire," said Rothberg. "She has a fight in her and plays from the heart. She has a great work ethic and will make a great addition to our team."
Juneau played golf for La Gamaradiere High School. She was named the Quebec Player of the Year in 2004, 2005, and 2006. She was named the Champlain St. Lawrence Athlete of the Year in 2006. She was the CCAA National individual champion in 2005 and 2006. She helped guide her team to the CAA National Championship in 2006.
"Sara-Maude is a very disciplined player," Rothberg said. "She is a very self-motivated and determined player. We are excited that she decided to come to Louisville."
