
Men's Tennis in Midwest Regional Rankings

University of Louisville seniors Slavko Radman and Damar Johnson are ranked third in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Midwest Doubles Rankings, while Radman is eleventh in region in singles.
"Damar and Slavko have been receiving accolades and high rankings throughout their career and this season is no different," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Our team looks to them for leadership which will be instrumental for a successful 2007 campaign."
The team of Radman and Johnson posted a 9-3 record in the fall and advanced to the finals of the ITA Midwest Regional championship. They were ranked 26th in the nation in the ITA preseason doubles rankings.
Radman, a senior from Split, Croatia, was No. 29 in the nation in the ITA preseason singles rankings. He was a 2006 All-BIG EAST Tournament selection in singles and was named Singles Most Outstanding Performer. He posted a 17-12 overall record in 2006 and was 13-9, playing mostly as the Cards' top seed. Radman also became the third player in U of L history to be selected to the NCAA Singles Championship. In 2005, Radman was the Conference USA Player of the Tournament and a first team all-league selection.
Johnson, a senior from Steer Town, Jamaica was an All-BIG EAST doubles team selection in 2006. He posted a 22-8 overall record in doubles and was ranked as high as No. 27 with 2006 senior Jhonny Berrido. Johnson was also a two-time All-Conference USA selection.
The Cardinals will open the 2007 spring season at Northwestern on January 14 at noon.
