The University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving team beat Iowa in the third meet of the four-meet format at the Mizzou Extraganza in Columbia, Mo. The women won 105-61 and the men won 91-77.
The men and women had an inspired evening of swimming. The format was tough and I challenged them this evening because I wanted to know who we could count on and everyone stepped up," said Arthur Albiero. "Tomorrow against nationally ranked Missouri, all the races will be close and if we bring it tomorrow like we brought it today we could pull it out."
Amanda Henleben had the swim of the night when she broke the school record in the grueling 1650 for the win.
The Cardinals started the meet with a win when Abby Miller took the 400-IM. Jenny Schimenti held on for third and Leigh Smith took fourth to add points. For the men, Danny Keeling was second.
