
Men's Golf Wins Third Straight Tournament

Cordova, Tenn. - The University of Louisville men's golf team won its third straight fall tournament by shooting a 7-under par 857 (282-281-294=857) Tuesday at the 2006 Memphis Intercollegiate played at the par-72, 7,249-yard Colonial Country Club in Cordova, TN.
The Cardinals had all five of their golfers finish in the top 20.
Leading the charge for the Cardinals was junior Derek Fathauer, who tied for third place after shooting a 1-under 215. Fathauer was in a tie for fifth place after the first two rounds, but moved to third after a third round score of 73.
Sophomore Adam Hadwin and junior Daryl Fathauer tied for eighth place after carding 216. Hadwin shot 70-72-74=216 and Fathauer was equally impressive, firing 71-70-75=216.
After firing an opening round of 77, Andrew Freeman finished in a tie for 13th-place. After a tough first round, Freeman responded with 69 and 72 to jump into a tie for 13th place.
Freshman Lewis Kirton rounded out the scoring by shooting 71-70-79=220 to finish in a tie for 17th.
The Cardinals will compete at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate on October 7-8.
