
Volleyball Moves Up to No. 17 in National Poll

The University of Louisville volleyball team moved into the No. 17 slot in the USA Today/CSTV Top 25 Coaches Poll for the week of Sept. 13. The Cardinals began the season at No. 20 and had moved to No. 18 after the first week. It is the second highest ranking for the Cardinals in school history.
U of L ended the 1998 season ranked No. 16. The Cardinals are coming off a high-powered weekend that saw them beat No. 9 Pepperdine at the Wildcat Classic in Arizona. U of L is off to a 5-1 start with a visit at the Wright State Invitational on tap for this weekend.
U of L senior Bing Sun has continued to collect honors. The 6-1 outside hitter from Beijing, China earned All-Wildcat Classic honors after being named MVP of the U of L Courtyard by Marriott Tournament over Labor Day Weekend. Junior middle blocker, Jennifer Hoffman, also earned All-Wildcat Classic Honors. She recorded 22 blocks in the three matches last weekend.
