Jhonny Berrido on Dominican Republic Pan American Tennis Team

University of Louisville tennis player Jhonny Berrido is a member of the Dominican Republic national tennis team that is hosting the 2003 Pan American Games.
"Jhonny Berrido is thrilled to be part of the Dominican Republic national team," said U of L coach Rex Ecarma. "It is an honor and a privilige to be at a world event the caliber of the Pan American Games.
The La Vega, Dominican Republic native earned 2003 Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors. He posted a team-best 33-8 singles record, setting the school mark for most wins as a freshman. He was 20-4 in dual matches playing mostly at No. 5 and earned C-USA Player of the Week honors on April 9.
