Louisville, Ky. - Meghan Little survived an hour, 35 minute rain delay and a three-hole playoff to win the Kentucky Open Wednesday afternoon. Little won the title with a score of 152.
Little started the second round with a birdie and played through showers to build a three-shot lead. But she lost the lead on the closing holes and parred No. 18 to force a three-way playoff.
After the lightning delay, she and Cathy Edelen birdied No. 16, the opening playoff hole, while the third person fell out of the playoff. Then both players bogeyed No. 17. Little then hit an impressive second shot form under a tree and went on to claim the title.
"It feels good to come out with the win," said Little. "I have been playing pretty good this summer."
