Percan to Compete with Croatian National Team

University of Louisville senior outside hitter, Sonja Percan has been selected to compete with the Croatian National Volleyball team at an international tournament in Russia June 10-17.
The 6-2 fifth year senior from Pula Croatia will compete against the national teams from Russia, United States, Italy, China, Japan and Azerbijan.
"We are very proud of Sonja for this achievement," said Leonid Yelin. "The experience she will gain playing against the best in the world is something you cannot buy."
After being named pre-season player of the year in 2001, Percan injured her ankle and missed her senior season. She returns for the Cardinals as their leading returning hitter.
