Men's Tennis Heads to C-USA Shootout

The University of Louisville men's tennis team will travel to Ft. Worth, Texas to participate in the Conference USA Men's Tennis Shootout. The Cardinals received a No. 2 seed and a first round bye. They will play the winner of the Saint Louis/Southern Miss contest on Saturday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m. (ET). Other teams participating in the tournament include: DePaul, East Carolina, Saint Louis, Southern Miss and host TCU.
Louisville (7-2) is currently No. 30 in the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Senior Paulo Carvalho is ranked No. 98 in singles with a 16-5 overall record. The doubles team of senior Cody Conley and sophomore Octavian Nicodim is No. 57 with a record of 11-5.
"We are happy to be a No. 2 seed in the Conference USA Shootout," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "It shows that we are one of the top teams in a very competitive league."
