Men's Tennis Set to Play Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- - The University of Louisville men's tennis team will play No. 11 Kentucky Saturday at the Louisville Tennis Club at noon. The match was previously scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
The Cardinals, No. 31 in the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings, are coming off of a 4-2 win over (then) No. 16 Tennessee. Louisville (5-1) is led by the duo of senior Cody Conley and sophomore Octavian Nicodim, ranked No. 22 in the nation. Louisville senior Paulo Carvalho is No. 111 in the singles rankings.
"We are always fired up to play Kentucky," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "If we are successful, our reward will be a top 25 ranking in the next poll."
Kentucky (5-1) has four players ranked in the top 100 including No. 4 Jesse Witten. No. 73 Karim Benmansour, No. 91 Rahim Esmail and No. 100 Evan Austin. The doubles team of Witten and Esmail is currently ranked No. 41.
