
Men's Tennis Set to Host Fall Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville men's tennis team will host the sixth annual Louisville Fall Invitational Oct. 3-5 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. In addition to U of L, the tournament will feature players from 14 teams including: Austin Peay, Bellarmin, Bradley, Dayton, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois-Chicago, Indianapolis, IUPUI, Nebraska, Southern Illinois, Toledo, UT-Martin and Wright State.
The tournament format will consist of three flights of singles with consolation draws and three flights of doubles. Matches will be played on both the indoor and outdoor courts at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The first round of doubles will begin Friday at 9:00 a.m., with singles slated to start at 10:30 a.m.
"We are excited about the opportunity to host 14 competitive teams this weekend," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Our challenge is to try to win our fourth consecutive Louisville Invitational." Junior Mark Kennedy, sophomores Jeremy Clark and Jakob Gustafsson and freshman Jonathan Howard will compete in the tournament for the Cardinals.
