Louisville, Ky. - Jaime Bentley, a senior golfer from Spearfish, SD has signed a national letter-of-intent to continue her playing career at the University of Louisville next season. Bentley becomes the second player from head coach Kelly Meyers' home state to sign with the Cardinals, joining redshirt freshman Meghan Little.
"I am very excited to have a South Dakota native on the team," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "Jamie will give us added depth. She will give us much needed experience after my first recruiting class graduates next season."
Bentley was the 2001 Region 4A Medalist. She finished 12th at the state championship in 2001 and 5th in 2000. She was also named academic all-state in both basketball and golf.
Bentley also lettered in basketball at Spearfish High School and earned all-state and all-conference honors. She was a finalist for the South Dakota AA Player of the Year.
Bentley joins fall signees Elly Leonard and Christi Baron.
