North Carolina State holds a three stroke lead over the Cardinals and Florida State after the first day of UNC Wilmington's Lady Seahawk Invitational at River Landing Golf Club.
Under near-perfect conditions, the Wolfpack fashioned a 300-299=599 total over the 36 holes. Louisville carded a 299-303=602 and FSU shot a 298-304=602 for a second-place tie. Indiana and Michigan rounded out the top five on the Par 72, 5,957-yard layout along the Neuse River in Southeastern North Carolina.
Louisville junior Cindy Pasechnik shot a two round total of 142 (72, 75) and is currently tied for fourth place. Sophomore Morgan Hapney is tied for ninth place with a score of 150 (77,73).
Redshirt freshman Meghan Little shot a 152 (72, 80) and is currently tied for 18th place. And rounding out the top Louisville finishers is junior Jessica Kell with a score of 153 (78, 75) and is tied for 23rd.
The Cardinals will play the final round of the tournament tomorrow.
