Men's Tennis Slated to Play No. 23 Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team will play No. 23 Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Louisville Tennis Club.
The Cardinals (3-1) are ranked No. 51 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. Junior Cody Conley leads the team with a 10-4 record (3-1 dual matches).
The twenty-third ranked Wildcats (3-0) are led by freshman Jesse Witten who is ranked No. 10 in the ITA fall singles rankings.
"This match is going to be a challenge," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "We will be facing one of the strongest Kentucky teams we've seen in a long time. We're not going to back down from the challenge though, we will play to win."
The match is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Louisville Tennis Club and is featuring a special offer to high school coaches and a clinic by the world's leading tennis teacher, Nick Bollittieri. Bollittieri is giving away his $400 teaching program, "Tennis In A Can" to the first 25 high school coaches reserving a space with at least eight other participants. There will be a $5 admission charge for the match and the clinic.
"I hope people can take part in the clinic that Nick Bollittieri will be giving," said Ecarma. "It is a privilege to have the former coach of Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles and Anna Kournikova take part in the day's festivities and the match between Louisville and Kentucky.
