
Men's Tennis to Host Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team will play host to Indiana University on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals (2-0) have won 19 consecutive matches at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center with their last home loss dating back to March 25, 2000 against Virginia Tech. U of L is led by junior Cody Conley (Floyds Knobs, Ind.) who owns a 9-3 overall record and is 2-0 as Louisville's top seed.
"When we play at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center, there is a level of comfort and confidence that really brings out our best performances," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "We have some enthusiastic and energetic fans that motivate us to play hard and give us a real home court advantage."
The Hoosiers are led by senior Milan Rakvica (8-4, 2-0 dual matches) who is No. 87 in the ITA's singles rankings. Indiana (2-0) is No. 46 in the ITA preseason rankings.
Indiana holds an 11-2 lead in the series, but Louisville defeated the Hoosiers 4-3 in their last meeting on Feb. 26, 2000.
