Baseball Team Rained Out In Hawaii

The opener of a four game series between Louisville and Hawaii was rained out Thursday evening. The teams will play a weekend series beginning Friday at 12:35 a.m. ET(Saturday) in Honolulu at Rainbow Stadium. Internet broadcasts of all games will be available at http://uhathletics.hawaii.edu/, and will be televised on KFVE-TV in Hawaii.
Louisville is 0-4 to open the 2001 slate, falling twice at second ranked USC and once to Cal-State Northridge and #15 Pepperdine on the road. Hawaii is 3-3, winning two of three against Sacramento State and dropping two of three to UCLA at home.
Sophomore shortstop Adam Haley leads the team in hitting at a .417 clip, scoring five runs. Senior centerfielder Mike Hook has a .400 batting average with three stolen bases without being thrown out.
The team returns to Louisville opens its home schedule February 16th against Detroit-Mercy as the first of four games. The Cardinals will play 24 of it's next 28 at home following the season opening road trip.
