French Signs With Men's Tennis

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Jeff French has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his tennis career at the University of Louisville in the fall of 2002.
French, a native of Munster, Ind. is a four-time Indiana All-State team member for Munster High School. He combined to win the doubles of the 2000 USTA National Junior Open in New York and advanced to the semifinals in singles competition.
"Jeff is a very good athlete and a true team player," said Ecarma. "He will be a solid college tennis play and will help make our good team better."
The 2002 men's tennis team will open up the spring season on January 19, when they play host to Illinois State and Northern Iowa at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
