2007-08: Named Louisville rowing's Varsity Rower of the Year ... CRCA First Team All-South Region ... CRCA National Scholar-Athlete ... Dean's List ... Red & Black Scholar ... Spent the entire spring in the Cards' varsity eight boat ... Led the Cards' V8+ crew to a second-place finish at the BIG EAST Championships, a fifth-place finish in the petite final at the NCAA Regional and a second-place finish in the petite final at the San Diego Crew Classic ... Also rowed in the V8+ boat against Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee and Indiana.
2006-07: Voted Most Improved Varsity Rower by teammates ... Named CRCA National Scholar-Athlete ... Red & Black Scholar ... Spent the entire spring racing season in the seven-seat of the Cards' Varsity 8+ boat ... Was instrumental in U of L's V8+ win over No. 5 California, the Cards' win in the Petite Final at the NCAA South/Central Region Sprints and the runner-up finish in the Grand Final at the BIG EAST Championships ... Was also in the seven-seat for the Cards' V8+ win over nationally ranked Minnesota.
2005-06: Named Co-Most Improved Novice Rower ... Finished her freshman season in the four-seat in the Open 4+ race at the NCAA South/Central Region Sprints ... Also rowed in the four-seat of the Novice 4+ boat at the BIG EAST Championships ... Rowed in the eight-seat for the Novice 8+ "A" Final at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships ... Rowed in the eight-seat of the Novice 8+ boat against Wisconsin and Tennessee, and in the two-seat of the Novice 8+ boat against Minnesota ... Was in the two-seat for the Cards' third-place finish in the Novice 8+ "A" race at the Head of the Elk ... Red & Black Scholar.
Prior to UofL: Lettered in four sports at Clarksville High School, including cross country (three years), track and field (two years), golf (one year) and tennis (one year) ... Named All Mid-Southern Conference in track and cross country ... Earned Most Improved Award in track and cross country.
Personal: Born Mallory Sarah Hamman on March 31, 1987 in Floyds Knobs, Ind. ... Daughter of Ted and Anna Hamman ... Has four siblings, Laine, Bailey, Madison and Cassy ... Majoring in health and human performance with a minor in health and teacher prep ... Hobbies and outside interests include running, triathlons, wakeboarding and anything outdoors ... She chose the University of Louisville because it was close to home ... Says the best thing about the city of Louisville is all of the Kentucky Derby activities ... Believes the best thing about U of L rowing is the wonderful team, being able to travel to so many great places and all of the hard work ... After graduation she plans to continue on to graduate school.
