Sophie Schulz is in her first season with the University of Louisville as a volunteer coach. After graduating in May, she has gone on to pursue her master’s in nursing at the UofL. She graduated from the Louisville with her exercise science degree. Sophie spent all four years of her undergraduate years rowing for Louisville, starting out at a novice walk-on in 2014. She also currently holds the fastest 2K erg score in the history of the program and became a 2018 CRCA All-American.
“I am really excited to be back with the program on the coaching side of things,” said Schulz. “Joining this team back in 2014 directed my athletic, personal, and academic achievements and goals in a way I hadn’t envisioned prior to being on the team. I’m excited to be involved in helping shape these athletes into strong, unstoppable women on and off the water.”
