Personal: Born Natalie Yates Hopkins on October 2, 1989... Parents are Lori and Brad Yates... Two siblings are Zac (24) and Skyler (22)... Major at U of L is art with a minor in writing... Brother Zac played lacrosse at Salisbury University... Brother Skyler played lacrosse at Middlebury College.
Q&A with Natalie: Athletic goal at U of L is to make the starting line up in the spring... Post college ambition is to start my own clothing line... Reasons she chose U of L is to make history with a group of great ladies and she got "the feeling" when she visited... Best athletic moment is scoring the game winning goal in my lacrosse game in the 7th grade... Best advice she ever received is "do the best you can, and when you've done that...do better"... She likes the city of Louisville because its so much different then Maryland... Evan Rachel Wood would play her in her life story... Most prized possession is her family.. She wants to be remembered as a fun and determined person on and off the field... Advice she would give younger players is when you think you have nothing left to give, laugh at your self, because everyone else know you have so much more... No one knows that she can sing... Athlete she admires the most in Jen Adams... Hobbies and interests are painting, drawing, singing, making and renovation clothes... Pre-game rituals are taking a few deep breathes and a few high jumps... Biggest challenge that she had to over come is her mother having breast cancer... Title of her life story would be "Here we go"... Her friends would describe her as funny, caring, intense, happy, and loyal... Earliest sport memory is playing on the local lightning lacrosse squad... Her role models are her brothers.
