Junior: Redshirted season due to injury

Sophomore: Mike adds depth in the individual medley and breaststroke events. He recorded a personal best in the 500-free at the Purdue Invitational with a time of 4:40.98.

Freshman: Mike swam in numerous events during his freshman season. A versatile swimmer, he competed in the 100 and 200-breast, 200 and 400-IM, 100-back, 500-free and 400-free relay.

Prep: Michael came to the University of Louisville from Portland, Oregon, where he swam for Jim Bowe at David Douglas High School and Skip Runkle at Mt. Hood Aquatics. Michael tied for tenth placed in the 400-IM at the 2008 Short Course Juniors. His high school took first place at the Oregon School Activities Association 6A State Championship in 2008. Some of his swimming achievements include US Open Qualifier, a tenth place finish at Junior Nationals, David Douglas Senior Athlete of the Year, five time All- American, and a team captain.

Personal: He is the son of Burt and Anne Stratton. Born August 28, 1990. His intended major is computer information systems.
