Junior: With experience under his belt, Pryor stepped up for the Cardinals as an upperclassman this season. He qualified and competed at the NCAA Championships for the first time. He was a member of the 800-free relay that finished 14th and had a split of 1:37.12. Individually, he competed in 400-IM, finishing 23rd, and in the 500-free, finishing 39th. He was named an Honorable Mention All-American as a member of the 800-free relay. At the BIG EAST Championships, Pryor anchored the victorious 800-free relay, which kicked off the first night of swimming action with new BIG EAST and school records. His anchor leg split was 1:36.11. Individually, he finished fifth in the 500-free in 4:24.64. In the 400-IM he capped off the 1-2 sweep with a time of 3:50.36. As his third event, he swam the 1650-free where he placed seventh with a 15:33.73. He was a two-time All-BIG EAST performer. His times in the 500-free and 400-IM were good enough for NCAA B-cuts. In dual meet action, Pryor had a first place finish and two-second place finishes in the annual meet against interstate rival Kentucky.
Sophomore: He competed in the USA national championships as well. During the BIG EAST Championships, Pryor competed in the 400-IM and the 500-free. He finished in fourth place in the 400-IM and made the national B-cut with a time of 3:52.23. He finished with a time of 4:29.12 in the 500-free.Pryor had a strong showing against West Virginia early in the season, earning a second-place finish in the 200-free with a time of 1:41.88.
Freshman: Michael was named All-BIG EAST in three events for the Cardinals. He swam the 800-freestyle relay with a split of 1:37.74, finishing with a total time of 6:29.99 and in second place, setting the school record. In the 500 freestyle, he finished third with a time of 4:25.65. He finished fourth in the 400-yard individual medley relay with a time of 3:53.20. In the 1650 freestyle, he finished third and posted a time of 16:04.83. All of Michael's times met the national B cut.
Prep: Michael came to the Cardinals from Jaffrey, New Hampshire where he swam for Don Lemieux and Jack Fabian at the Greenwood Memorial Swim Club. Michael had a sixth place finish in the 400-IM at the Spring Junior Nationals. He was a US Opener qualifier and a Junior National qualifier. He is 3-time spring Junior National and 2-time summer Junior National qualifier in numerous events. He is the team record holder in the 400-IM, 500- free, 1000-free, 1650-free, 200-fly and was seventh in the country in the 400-IM for 15-16 year olds in 2006-2007. Michael is a New England Open champion and high point champion. He was also a Scholastic All- American.
