McKenzie used her wealth of experience during the 2007-2008 season, turning in some of her top dives against the University of Miami, Notre Dame, and placed well against top divers from across the nation at the Indiana Invite. In 2006-07, McKenzie's top three point totals came against Notre Dame, WVU and Kentucky. At the 2007 BIG EAST, she was the second highest scoring diver for the Cardinals. She gained valuable meet experience on the springboards for the Cardinals as a freshman. She came to U of L from Connor High School where she was the 2004 Kentucky high school state diving champion in the 1-meter. She was recruited by Minnesota, Miami of Ohio and Penn State. She dove for Tri-State diving in Cincinnati and was coached by Charlie Casuto and Paul Glassman. McKenzie has international experience, making the USA international team as an age grouper. Personal: She is the daughter of Cal and Debbie Long. She plans on majoring in exercise science. She was born July 3, 1987.
