Marianne lived a Cinderella story last year at the BIG EAST championships when she failed to qualify for the 1-meter but after another diver was injured she moved into the final and came back to finish second. She also moved on to the NCAA Zone B Qualifying. In 2005, Marianne finished second in the 1-meter, 4th on the platform and 6th in the 3-meter board at the 2005 C-USA Championship. She set school records in 1-meter and platform at that meet. As a freshman, she made the finals at the Conference USA Championship where she placed in the Top 8 in the 3-meter and Top 6 in both the 1- and 10-meter diving. She qualified for the NCAA Zone B Qualifying at the University of Georgia, where she finished in the Top 40 in the 3-meter board. Marianne's personal best in high school was a 408.00 in an eleven-dive meet earning her MVP on Roncalli's squad her senior year. She finished in the top 20 at the Indiana State Meet her junior and senior years. Her goal for diving has always been to have fun and enjoy the sport.
