Maggie set her lifetime bests in the 100-back and 200-back against Illinois last year as a freshman. After that meet, she took a medical redshirt. She comes to U of L from Notre Dame Academy. She swam for the Northern Kentucky Clippers for coach Heather Stolz, where she was a team record holder in the 50-free and the 200- and 800-free relay. She was a four-time Sectional team member and a USA Zone qualifier since she was 12. She was a state finalist in 2002, 2003 and 2004. She was All-American in the 200-free relay in 2003 and the 400-free relay in 2004. She was an 11-time regional finalist. She was also recruited by Kentucky, Marshall and West Virginia.

Personal: She is the daughter of David and Pat Rowland. She plans on majoring in business. She was born Nov. 26, 1987.
