Junior: As a junior, Linton swam in his third BIG EAST Championships as an exhibition swimmer. At BIG EAST, Linton swam the 50-freestyle in 20.83, the 100-freestyle in 45.35, and the 200-freestyle in 1:40.52. Linton posted his personal best times in the 100- and 200-freestyle. In the fall taper meet at Purdue, he recorded a 45.32 and a 1:40.27 respectively. Linton also led off the 4th place finishing 800-freestyle relay with a split of 1:42.60. In dual meet season, he swam the second leg of the 3rd place 200-freestyle relay against Notre Dame splitting a 20.53.

Sophomore: Lemar set personal best times in four different events as a sophomore. He competed as a non-scorer at the BIG EAST Championships. He set a lifetime best in the 100-fly with a time of 50.23. Prior to BIG EAST, Lemar competed at the Ohio State Winter Invitational. Here, he set personal bests in three different events. He recorded a time of 20.71 in the 50-free, 45.51 in the 100-free, and 1:42.61 in the 200-free. In dual meets, Lemar finished fifth in the 50-free against Cincinnati and Eastern Michigan, and recorded two fifth place finishes against Pitt in the 100- and 200-free.

Freshman: Linton recorded two personal bests last season, one of which was at the championship qualifier where he swam the 100-free in 45.98. During the BIG EAST Championships, he competed in the 50- and the 200- free preliminaries. In the 50-free, he set a career best with a time of 21.26, and in the 200-free prelims, Linton finished with a time of 43.96.

Prep: Lemar comes to UofL from Ashland, Ky. where he swam for Billy Cox at Paul Blazer High School. Lemar won the 2010 KHSAA swim championship in the 100-free with a time of 46.26. He also competed in the 2010 YMCA Nationals posting the same time of 46.26 in the 100 free.

Personal: Lemar is the son of Coleridge Linton and Cheryl Bascom. He was born on December 10, 1992. Major is marketing.
