Junior: Ben had his best performances of the year at the Ohio State Winter Invite in February. In the 200-free, he swam to a personal best time of 1:40.78. He also set a season best in the 500-free with a time of 4:38.32. In the fall, he set lifetime best times in the 100-free (46.61) and 1650-free (16:16.62) at the Tennessee Invite. In the dual meet against Pitt, Ben recorded a fourth place finish in the 200-free.
Sophomore: Ogle was able record new personal-best times twice last year. The first came against Cincinnati in the 1650-free with a time of 16:50.41. During the BIG EAST Championships, he competed in the 200-free and recorded a career mark with a time of 1:41.82.
Freshman: As a freshman, Ben provided much needed depth in the 500-free. He finished fifth against West Virginia and in the top 15 at the Purdue Invitational.
Prep: Ben came to U of L from Columbus, Ind. and swam for the Gulf Coast Swim Team under Coach Don Henshaw. He had qualifying times for Junior Nationals in the 500-freestyle and the 200-freestyle. Ben placed second in the 1500-freestyle in 2005 at the Indiana Age Group Championships. He added a seventh place finish in the 400-freestyle at the Speedo Sectionals in 2007. Ben is a member of the Indiana Swimming Elite All-Star Swim Team. He was on the honor roll all four years of high school.
Personal: He is the son of Andy and Kelly Ogle. Born November 6, 1990. Major is exercise science.
