Junior: Amanda was named All-BIG EAST as a junior. She set three school records, all at the BIG EAST Championships. She finished second in the 500-free with a time of 4:49.37 and was also second in the grueling 1650-free with a time of 16:32.26. She posted a school record in the 1000-free with a time of 9:56.77. Amanda also was a finalist in the 400-IM with a time of 4:22.64. She swam in the 5K National Open Water Nationals where she finished 17th with a time of 1:02:00.0.
Sophomore: Amanda added to her freshman year success during the 2007-08 season, leading the Cards in the distance events. She turned in top times and scored vital points during the dual meet season by winning the 200-back against BIG EAST rival Cincinnati. At the BIG EAST Championships, she broke her own school record in the 1650 in 16:57.74 - the 10th fastest in the conference. Her performance in the 400-IM was also a Cardinal best time and 11th overall.
Freshman: Amanda made an immediate impact as a freshman and set the school record in the 1650 at the BIG EAST Championships. She also made the B-finals in the 400-IM to add points for the Cards. She was also a 2007 US Open participant. Amanda set a school record in the 1000-free and was a major point scorer during the dual meet season. Amanda swam for Swim Atlanta for Coach Mark Minier where she finished first in the 2005 Georgia Swim Club State Championships in the 1650-free. In the Georgia Long Course Senior State Championships, she had firsts in the 1500-free, 800-free, 400-free and 400-IM.
Prep: She comes from Roswell High School where she swam for Ned Granville and was a three-time varsity letterwinner. She was Roswell's MVP in 2003 and 2005 and a member of the Georgia Zone team in 2002 and 2004. She won the 500-free at the Georgia High School State Championships in 2006. She also won the 1650-free and was second in the 500-free at the 2005 Georgia High School 5A State Championships. That year, she helped her team win the Speedo Championships in Georgia. She was a three-time MVP. Amanda was recruited by Northern Arizona, East Carolina, Kentucky, and Florida State.
Personal: She is the daughter of Michael and Cheryl Henleben. Major is sport administration. Born January 3, 1988.
