Bio
2024-25: During the dual meet season, Rob won both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle in 20.30 and 45.05 respectively. Against Cincinnati, he was fourth in the 50 free with a time of 20.56. At the Ohio State Invitational, he boarded a time of 57.49 in the 100 breast and went 20.64 in the 50 free.
2023-24: In the dual meet season, Rob was on the fourth place 200 free relay and was eighth in the 50 free against Auburn. At Tennessee, he was on both the sixth place 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay. Against Missouri, he was on the 400 free relay team that touched fifth and was on the sixth place 200 medley relay team versus Kentucky. In the double dual with Indiana and Wisconsin, he boarded a 21.02 in the 50 free and was on the eighth place 400 free relay team. Versus Cincinnati, he put up a 20.90 in the 50 free and was on the fourth place 200 medley relay team.
2022-23: Rob added depth to the Cards’ breaststroke and sprint corps. In his first collegiate meet, he was 8th in the 100 breast and helped the C-relay team to a fourth-place finish. Against Tennessee, he was on the 200 Medley Relay team that touched seventh and the sixth-place 400 Free Relay team. At Notre Dame, he was eighth in the 100 breast. At the Purdue Invitational, he was 36th in the 50 free and 30th in the 100 breast and 38th in the 100 free and helped the Cards to a sixth place finish in the 400 Free Relay. Against rival Kentucky, Rob touched sixth in the 100 breast in 58.15 and helped the C-relay team touch third in the 200 Medley Relay, posting a 1:29.57 with his anchor split of 20.20. Against Indiana, he was on the C-relay in both the 200 Medley Relay (sixth) and the 200 Free Relay (sixth).
Prep: From Fisherville, Kentucky, Ehrenborg will add some speed to the Cardinal roster this year. Swimming for Cardinal Aquatics, Ehrenborg competed at the 2022 USA Swimming Futures Championship in Cary where he recorded several personal bests. Ehrenborg is a four-time state finalist. After winning the 50 freestyle, Ehrenborg also placed 3rd in the 100 freestyle at the 2022 KHSAA State Championship. At the 2021 KHSAA State Championships, he was runner-up in the 50 freestyle and 6th in the 100 freestyle. Ehrenborg records best times of 20.62 in the 50 freestyle, 46.23 in the 100 freestyle, 58.08 in the 100 breaststroke, and 1:50.80 in the 200 freestyle. He swam for club coach is Colin Ferris and his high school coach was David Robinson.
