Bio
2024-25: During the dual meet season, Drew won the 200 IM (1:46.97), and the 100 back (48.23) at the Last Chance Meet. He had three wins at the First Chance Meet with firsts in the 200 back (1:42.85), the 100 back (47.07) and the 200 IM (1:48.26). Against Cincinnati, he was second in the 100 back (47.59) and touched fifth in the 100 back versus Kentucky. At Missouri, he touched fourth in the 200 back (1:47.33) and fourth in the 200 back against Purdue. Against Tennessee, he was fourth in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back versus Xavier.
2023-24: In the dual meet season, Drew was on both the sixth place 200 back (2:14.11). Against Notre Dame, he was eight in the 100 back (49.41) and sixth in the 200 back (1:49.24). In the Missouri meet, he was fifth in the 100 back (49.88) and sixth in the 200 back (1:52.55). Against rival Kentucky, he was fourth in both the 100 and 200 back and was on the third place 200 medley relay team. In the double dual meet with Wisconsin and Indiana, he was 10th in the 100 back and 12th in the 200 back. Versus Cincinnati, he was third in both the 100 back (48.84) and 200 back (1:48.52). At the Louisville First Chance Meet, he won the 200 IM (1:47.95) and the 200 back (1:45.54).
2022-23: During the dual meet season, Drew finished fifth in the 100 back and sixth in the 200 back. Against Tennessee, he was eighth in the 100 back and the 200 back.
Prep: A native of Royal Oak, Michigan, Collins brings a bit of everything to the Cardinal roster. At the 2022 YMCA Short Course National Championships, Collins recorded several personal and season bests in the 50 freestyle, the 200 backstroke, and the 400 IM. Collins is a two-time state champion in the 200 IM (1:50.21) and 100 backstroke (49.18), setting a school record in both events. Collins also finished 2nd in the 100 backstroke at the 2022 MHSAA State Championships and 4th in the 200 freestyle at the 2021 MHSAA State Championships. His best times include 20.75 in the 50 freestyle, 1:47.98 in the 200 backstroke, 49.18 in the 100 backstroke, and 1:50.21 in the 200 IM.
