Bio
Senior: Schoof was selected as a relay alternate for the NCAA Championships during her senior season. At NCAAs, she led off the Cardinals’ 200 medley relay in 24.61 en route to UofL finishing 12th overall. At the ACC Championships, she placed 15th in the 100 backstroke (53.46), 16th in the 200 backstroke (1:59.14), and 41st in the 50 freestyle (23.42). Schoof also split a 24.48 as the lead-off of the Cardinals’ bronze-medal 200 medley relay at ACCs. She posted five top-6 finishes throughout the abbreviated dual meet season, highlighted by a victory in the 100 backstroke against Cincinnati. Schoof also placed fourth in both backstroke events against Notre Dame and sixth in those events versus Kentucky. For her efforts in the classroom, she was named to the ACC All-Academic Team.
Junior: Schoof continued to add valuable depth to the Cardinals’ backstroke group for her third year and was selected as a relay alternate for the NCAA Championships before the meet was cancelled. She finished 18th in the 200 backstroke (1:57.46) at the ACC Championships and earned a pair of bronze medals as the leadoff for UofL’s 200 and 400 medley relays, splitting 24.60 and 53.41, respectively. She won the 100 backstroke (52.91) at the Tennessee Last Chance Invitational and finished third in both backstroke events at the SMU Classic. At the Purdue Invitational, Schoof raced to the top spot in the 100 backstroke (53.45) and 200 backstroke (1:56.03). She recorded 13 top-five finishes throughout the dual meet season, highlighted by a pair of wins in the 100 backstroke against Xavier and Indiana. For her performances in both the pool and in the classroom, Schoof was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and awarded ACC Honor Roll and CSCAA Scholar All-America honors. She was also named to the CSCAA All-American team in the 200 and 400 medley relays.
Sophomore: As a sophomore, Schoof was selected for the ACC Championships team for the second-straight season. She scored points for the Cards in the 200 back, finishing 23rd with a time of 1:57.08. She also competed in the 100 back (54.38) and 50 free (23.66) at ACCs. At the IU Invitational, she finished in the top-eight in both the 100 back (54.14) and 200 back (1:56.69), while also swimming the 200 IM and 50 free. Throughout the dual meet season, she recorded top-three finishes in the backstroke events in the victories over Tennessee and Xavier. At the Phillips 66 National Championships, Schoof competed in the 100m back (1:04.13) and the 200m back (2:18.05).
Freshman: Schoof was an integral member of the Cardinals’ backstroke squad and made an immediate impact in her debut season. She qualified for the NCAA Championships in both backstroke events, posting times of 53.14 in the 100 and 1:55.75 in the 200. At the ACC Championships, Schoof scored 26 points for Louisville with a 13th place finish in the 100 back (53.44) and 15th place in the 200 back (1:55.50). At the Winter National Championships, she finished in the top eight in both the 100 and 200 back, placing fifth and eighth respectively. She also competed at the Phillips 66 National Championships, swimming the 50-meter back (30.07), 100-meter back (1:04.33) and 200-meter back (2:18.72). In the dual meet season, she put together a strong performance against Kentucky, finishing third in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back. For her performances both in the pool and in the classroom, Schoof was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and was awarded CSCAA Scholar All-America honors.
Prep: Schoof joins Louisville after swimming for Elmbrook Swim Club and coach Brent Boock. During her career for Elmbrook, she qualified for the Olympic Trials and was a finalist at NCSA, Junior National Championships and the U.S. Open. She holds best times of 51.98 in the 100 back and 1:54.35 in the 200 back.
