Brianna Hesson

Brianna Hesson is in her first season as Louisville’s volunteer coach. She joins the Cardinals after serving as an assistant coach at IUPUI for the 2017 season.
Prior to her stint at IUPUI, Hesson served as a graduate assistant at Auburn after completing her playing career at the University of Georgia in 2011.
While playing for the Bulldogs, the Sugar Hill, Ga. native was a four-year starter and helped UGA to the 2009 Women’s College World Series. As a sophomore, she earned All-SEC Second Team honors. Her junior season, Hesson was an SEC All-Defensive Team selection and achieved a career-high with 13 homeruns. Her career culminated with NFCA All-Region Second Team, All-SEC Second Team, SEC All-Defensive Team honors. Additionally, she was both an SEC Player of the Week and a USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Week during her senior season. .
After completing her collegiate career, Hesson continued to play softball professionally with the Akron Racers in the National Professional Fastpitch League, from May 2011 until Feb. 2014.
She began a graduate assistantship with Auburn in Aug. 2013, serving as an on-field graduate assistant and aided with the team’s operations. Hesson has also served as a private instructor at the Romes Diamond Academy in Romes, Georgia, and also spent several years as a manager and instructor at the Next Level Baseball and Softball Academy in Buford, Georgia.
