As a junior (2010): NFHCA All-West Region first team member... Named to the All-BIG EAST Conference first team... Started 18 games... Second on the team with eight goals, eight assists and 24 points... Named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 4... Scored the game-winning goals against American, Connecticut and New Hampshire... Selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad... Named to the Athletic Director's honor roll and Dean's List in fall and spring.
As a sophomore (2009): NFHCA All-West Region second team selection... Named to the All-BIG EAST second team... Started all 20 games... BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week (Nov. 2)... Led team with 41 points and 15 goals... Second on team with 11 assists... Has three multi-goal games this year including a hat trick in the 13-0 win over Saint Louis... Named to the Athletic Director's honor roll in the fall and spring... Dean's List in the spring.
As a freshman (2008): Started 19 games... Fourth on the team with 15 points (5G, 5A)... Scored two goals in the 11-0 win over Georgetown (11/2)... Selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
High School: Played for the 2006 Division I KAIZAN hockey club in Sydney, where she received Best Player Awards in 2006, 2004 and 2002... Her Under-18 team finished runner-up in its division... Selected as a reserve for the NSW Under-18 team in 2006 and is currently on the NSW Under-21 squad... During Hayley's stint with KSC (2001-2006) she had 144 starts and 33 goals.
Personal: Full name is Hayley Elizabeth Turner... Daughter of Kevin and Liz Turner... Birthdate is September 7, 1988... Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Education and Community Health... Received a Bachelor's degree in public health education in May 2011 - graduated Magna Cum Laude... Post college ambition is to work for a volunteer aid agency... Biggest challenge she has had to overcome is having self-doubt... Before every game, she listens to music and doesn't put shin guards on until she's on the field... Earliest sport memory includes playing backyard cricket with her dad and brothers... Her family are her role models... Her greatest accomplishment was starting her degree at home and NSW selections.. Favorite athlete is John Maclean... Proudest moment of her life was winning three championships with the Mighty Poola and seeing Louisville's name on the 2008 NCAA selection show.
