Bio
Junior: Schorr was named to the Cardinals’ ACC Championship team for the first time in her career as a junior. At ACCs, she finished 27th in the 100 freestyle (50.46), 32nd in the 200 freestyle (1:49.97), and 43rd in the 50 freestyle (23.44). Schorr posted five top-4 finishes throughout the abbreviated dual meet season, including taking third and fourth in the 50 and 100 freestyle, respectively, against both Notre Dame and Kentucky. She also finished fourth in the 200 freestyle versus Cincinnati.
Sophomore: Schorr continued to be a key contributor to the Cardinals’ sprint freestyle squad during her second year. She won the 100 freestyle (50.45) and 200 freestyle (1:49.96) at the UofL Last Chance Invitational and finished eighth in the 200 freestyle (1:51.38) and 11th in the 100 freestyle (50.85) at the Purdue Invitational. Throughout the dual meet season, she scored points for the Cardinals in the 100 and 200 freestyle against Xavier, Northwestern, Kentucky, and Indiana. For her performances in both the pool and in the classroom, Schorr was named to the ACC Honor Roll.
Freshman: Schorr was an instrumental member of the Cardinals’ sprint free and relay squads throughout her freshman season. She recorded a number of season best and personal best times at the IU Invitational, taking seventh in the 200 free (1:47.35), eighth in the 50 free (22.77) and 10th in the 100 free (49.40). She also put together strong performances at the Louisville First Chance Invitational, where she took first in the 100 free and second in the 200 free. In the dual meet season, Schorr scored at five of the Cards’ meets, highlighted by a first place finish in the 100 free in the meet against Xavier.
Prep: Schorr joins the Cardinals from Clermont, Fla., where she attended Montverde Academy and swam for the Southwest Stars Swim Club under coach Justin Correia. She has competed for Team USA internationally, where she won a silver medal in the 4x100-meter free relay at the 2018 Irish Open in Dublin and competed in the 100 free, 200 free, 50 free and 100 fly. She is a 2016 Olympic Trials qualifier, where she competed in the 50 free. Schorr has also been a finalist at both Winter Junior Nationals and NCSA Junior Nationals. At the NCSA Junior Nationals, she earned a silver medal in the 100 free. She has consistently been one of the top sprinters in the FHSAA for Montverde under coach Guilherme Ferreira, finishing her career as a nine-time All-American, four-time FHSAA 1A state champion, two-time FHSAA runner-up and was the 2015 FHSAA 1A Swimmer of the Year. She was also named Orlando Sentinel Varsity All-Area Swimmer of the Year in both 2015 and 2017. Additionally, she was named a Scholastic All-American by USA Swimming. Schorr holds best times of 22.81 in the 50 free, 49.23 in the 100 free and 1:47.77 in the 200 free. Outside of the pool, she was a member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.
