Senior: Cattermole qualified individually for the NCAA Championships for the third-consecutive season in the 1650 freestyle before the meet was cancelled. She was a major point contributor at the ACC Championships after finishing sixth in the mile (16:20.23), 10th in the 500 freestyle (4:45.48), 19th in the 400 individual medley (4:16.59), and splitting a 1:47.21 on the Cardinals’ third-place 800 freestyle relay. At the Purdue Invitational, she won the 500 freestyle (4:42.51), was the 400 individual medley runner-up (4:13.83), and finished fourth in the 200 butterfly (1:58.23). She recorded a trio of seventh-place finishes at the SMU Classic and registered 12 top-five finishes throughout the dual meet season. In the dual meet against Notre Dame, she set a new Ralph Wright Natatorium pool record in the mile with a time of 16:12.35. For her performances in both the pool and in the classroom, Cattermole was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and awarded ACC Honor Roll and CSCAA Scholar All-America honors. She was also named to the CSCAA All-American team in the mile.
Senior: Cattermole qualified individually for the NCAA Championships for the second straight season, while also competing on the Cards’ sixth place 800 free relay team. As an individual, she swam the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free at NCAAs. At the ACC Championships, Cattermole recorded a pair of top-eight finishes, taking fourth in the 1650 free (16:07.90) and sixth in the 400 IM with a personal best time of 4:10.63. She also placed ninth in the 500 free (4:41.76) and earned a silver medal as a member of the Cards’ 800 free relay team. At the Indiana Invitational, Cattermole took third overall in the 1650 free, while also finishing second in the 500 free and 10th in the 400 IM. At the SMU Classic, she won the 400 IM with a time of 4:11.62. Throughout the dual meet season, Cattermole tallied six victories, highlighted by a sweep of the 500 and 1000 free in the victory over Missouri. For her efforts in the classroom, Cattermole earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team. At Phillips 66 Nationals, Cattermole competed in the 400m IM (4:54.62), 400m free (4:16.39), 800m free (8:45.20) and 1500m free (17:02.88).
Junior: Cattermole had a breakout season for the Cards in her junior campaign. At NCAAs, she scored individual points in the 500 free, placing 12th with a time of 4:38.08. She also competed individually in the 200 free and 1650 free, and was a member of the Cardinals’ ACC record-breaking 800 free relay. She scored 71 points for Louisville at the ACC Championships, placing second in the 500 free with a time of 4:37.48 and breaking her own school record in the 1650 free to place third in a 16:00.78, while also setting the 1000 free school record (9:42.86) in the process. Cattermole posted top performances at the 2017 Winter National Championships, highlighted by her fourth place finishes in the 500 and 1650 free. Cattermole also made a splash throughout the TYR Pro Swim Series, placing fifth in the 800-meter free (8:51.54) and 400-meter free (4:16.31) in Mesa and sixth in the 1500-meter free in Columbus (16:34.31). Throughout the dual meet season, she added a number of top finishes for Louisville. Against Indiana, she placed second in both the 500 and 1000 free and third in the 400 IM. For her performances both in the pool and in the classroom, Cattermole achieved CSCAA Scholar All-America status and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team.
Sophomore: After redshirting the previous season, Cattermole had a strong debut for the Cardinals, qualifying for NCAAs in the 800 free relay, which finished eighth in a time of 6:58.41. At the ACC Championships, she placed 18th in the 500 free (4:46.78), 19th in the 200 fly (1:58.98), and 21st in the 400 IM (4:17.63). She also was a member of the bronze medal winning 800 free relay at ACCs. Cattermole competed at both the Mesa and Atlanta Arena Pro Swim Series meets, qualifying for finals in the 400-meter IM (5:04.75) and 200-meter IM (2:23.70) at Mesa and the 400-meter free (4:25.33) in Atlanta. She also placed 16th in the 800-meter Freestyle at the Atlanta Pro Swim Series in a time of 9:01.48. At the US Open Championships, she competed in the 200-meter fly (2:20.23) and 400-meter free (4:20.92). During the dual meet season, Cattermole registered three top-five finishes at the UofL Invitational, swimming to a second place finish in the 200 fly (2:00.69) and two fourth place finishes in the 400 IM (4:18.36) and 500 free (4:49.28), scoring 100 points in the process for the Cardinals.
Freshman: Cattermole redshirted the season.
Prep: Cattermole comes to Louisville as a native of Great Britain, but her family currently resides in the Sarasota, Fla. area where she attended Lemon Bay High School and swam for Dawn Hall. Her club is Sarasota YMCA where she swam for Brent Arckey. She is a three-time FHSAA 2A state champion, winning two titles in the 200 and 500 freestyle in 2014 and the 200 IM in 2013, as well as a three-time state runner-up in the 100 free (2x) and 200 IM. She is a Senior National and Great Britain Olympic Trial Qualifier, a 2015 National Team Qualifier and a multiple time YMCA Nationals finalist. Cattermole has garnered numerous awards including the Herald Tribune Swimmer of the Year, Charlotte County Swimmer of the Year, ABC7 Athlete of the Week and HT Preps Athlete of the Week. A versatile swimmer, she holds her high school record in eight different individual events and three relays. She has excelled in the classroom as well as a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, named to the NISCA Swimming All-America team, member of National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society. Her best times are a 1:47.29 in the 200-free, 4:45.26 in the 500 free, 2:00.39 in the 200 IM and 4:16.38 in the 400 IM. She swam the 200, 400, and 800 free at the USA Nationals.
