
Claycomb, Smith, and Thomis Earn PING All-Region Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – Cooper Claycomb, Brady Smith, and Warren Thomis of the University of Louisville men's golf team were named to the NCAA Division I PING All-Region team, the outlet announced Saturday.
This marks Claycomb's third All-Region honor of his career as just a junior. At the NCAA Athens Regional, Claycomb posted a career-best 54-hole score of 12-under-par (68+66+67=201). His score of 201 set the program record for lowest individual score in regional history at Louisville. The junior finished third, the second-best finish by a Louisville golfer all time in a regional.
Sophomore Smith and Thomis are earning All-Region honors for the first time in their careers. At the NCAA Regional, Smith shot a 7-under-par 206 to finish within the top 10 in a tie for eighth. He posted a bogey-free third round with four birdies to help propel the Cards to the runner-up finish. Thomis earned a top 20 spot, finishing 4-under-par 210 on the week.
