Cardinals Ready for Final Weekend of Regular Season

The teams will split between the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Ky. on May 1-2 and the Duke Twilight in Durham, N.C. on May 3.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set to conclude their regular season this weekend, splitting between the Jim Green Invitational and the Duke Twilight.
The Cardinals enter the weekend with the men's team ranked 10th in the latest USTFCCCA National TFRI, their highest outdoor ranking in program history, while the women's team moved up two spots from a week ago to slot in at 17th.
Additionally, both the Louisville women's long jump and triple jump event squads are ranked first in the NCAA to lead a total of eight event squads that are currently ranked in the top 15 nationally.

The majority of the team will travel to Lexington, Ky. for the Jim Green Invitational, which will take place over two days from May 1-2 at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
Competition will begin on Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET with the women's hammer throw, while action on the track will get underway with the women's 400m hurdles at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The women's squad will be led by Ashley Callahan, who enters the weekend ranked third nationally in the women's pole vault, and Kaia Tupu-South, who currently holds the ninth-best women's shot put mark in the NCAA.
On the men's side, Ryan Farrell and Ethan Brouw are set to contest the men's 800m, with the pair having clocked the first- and second- fastest times in program history, respectively, at the Bryan Clay Invitational two weeks ago.

A pair of Louisville distance runners will compete at the Duke Twilight in Durham, N.C. on May 3 at Morris Williams Stadium.
Leo Brewer and Emma McGill will both chase regional qualifying marks in the 5000m, with McGill set to take part in the women's race at 9:40 p.m. ET on Sunday and Brewer slated to contest the men's race at 10:00 p.m. ET.
