Cards Set for Three-Meet Split

The teams will be represented at the Eastern Indoors, Fairgrounds Invitational, and Windy City Invitational over the weekend.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set for their third split weekend of the indoor season, as the squads are set to divide between three meets: the Eastern Indoors, Fairgrounds Invitational, and Eastern Indoors.

The Cards will also send a group of roughly 10 student-athletes to the collegiate division of the Eastern Indoors, hosted by Eastern High School, at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on Friday, Feb. 6.
The day's track and field events will begin simultaneously at 10:00 a.m. ET with the women's long jump and the preliminary round of the women's 60m hurdles. The full schedule of events can be found here.
Ty McPhail will lead the charge for the Cards at their final meet in Louisville for the indoor season, as the redshirt senior enters the men's pole vault competition with a personal-best mark of 5.40m (17-8.5), the second-best pole vault clearance in program history and the third-best mark in the ACC currently.

The Cards will also field a group at the Fairgrounds Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind., returning to the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center for the second time this season after competing at the Crossroads of America Invitational on Jan. 23-24.
Five throwers will step into the ring for Louisville, including Kaia Tupu-South, who leads the ACC in the women's shot put mark with a season-best mark of 17.05m (55-11.25) that also ranks her 12th in the NCAA thus far this season.
Competition for the Cardinals will begin on Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET with the women's weight throw. The full schedule of events can be found here.

The Windy City Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin in Chicago, Ill., will take place over two days on Feb. 6-7, with the Cardinals set to be represented by a small group of sprinters and middle-distance runners.
Competition for Louisville athletes will begin on Friday at 1:45 p.m. ET with the start of the women's 60m preliminaries. The full schedule of the weekend's events can be found here.
The field for the Cards will feature Breanna Braham, who set a new program record of 54.82 in the women's 400m last weekend at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, and Ethan Brouw, who moved to second in program history and second in the ACC with a time of 1:47.97 in the men's 800m at the same meet.
