LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville junior outfielders Lucas Moore and Zion Rose added another preseason accolade to their collection on Tuesday as each was named a preseason All-American by Baseball America.
Rose was voted to the second team, while Moore was a third team selection. Baseball America's preseason All-America teams are voted on by MLB scouting departments.
Rose was one of two Cardinals to start every game during the 2025 campaign, finishing with a .310 average, 16 doubles, three triples and 13 home runs. The Chicago native led the Cards with 67 RBIs and scored 64 runs and was 31-for-34 in stolen bases.
Rose ranked fourth in the ACC in stolen bases, fifth in RBIs, fifth in triples, seventh in runs, 11th in hits and 12th in total bases.
Moore has a standout sophomore campaign that saw him earn All-America honors. In 66 games, he hit 341 with 10 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 49 RBIs. Moore also led the team with 92 hits, 85 runs scored and went 53-for-54 in stolen bases.
His 53 stolen bases led the country and were the second-most in a single season in program history, while his 85 runs scored ranked second nationally, first among Power Four players, and were tied for the second-most in program history.
The outfield duo will help lead the Cardinals into the 2026 season, which begins on Feb. 13 with the first of a three-game series against Michigan State at Jim Patterson Stadium.
