Field Hockey Opens Spring Season Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has released the Cardinals' 2026 spring schedule which features two home weekends along with trips to Ohio State and Northwestern.

UofL will kick of the 2026 spring slate this weekend when Indiana and Miami (Ohio) visit Trager Stadium on Saturday. The Cardinals will open the day at 11 a.m. against the RedHawks and conclude the play day at 2 p.m. when they take on the Hoosiers. Miami and Indiana will meet at 12:30 p.m.

The Cards remain at home for the Louisville Spring Tournament which will take place on April 4. The tournament field includes: Bellarmine, Indiana, Miami (Ohio), Ohio University and Saint Louis.

A week later, Louisville will hit the road for Evanston, Ill, to face host and two-time defending national champion Northwestern along with Iowa, Stanford and Michigan in the two-day tournament.

The Cardinals will wrap up the spring season at Ohio State where they will take on the Buckeyes and Miami (Ohio).

11 a.m. – Louisville vs. Miami (Ohio)
12:30 p.m. – Indiana vs. Miami (Ohio)
2 p.m. – Louisville vs. Indiana

April 4 – Louisville Spring Tournament

April 11-12 – Northwestern Spring Tournament – Evanston, Ill.
