Cara Cresse Named ACC Defensive Player of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –University of Louisville middle blocker Cara Cresse was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Cardinals to the championship of the Bluejay Invitational.

The fifth year senior recorded 28 total blocks and 1.65 blocks per set for the week. And set the program record for single-match blocks with 14 against No. 2 Texas on September 10. She was named MVP of the Bluejay Invitational, including defeat of No. 18 Creighton on September 12. She is currently ranked No. 1 in the ACC in solo blocks with five this season.
