Cardinals Beat Hawai'i 3-1

 MANOA, HI -- The University of Louisville volleyball team beat Hawai'i 3-1 in the opening match of the "Our Team, Hawai'i's Team" spring series early Tuesday morning at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine won the opening set in a deuce score before the Cardinals won the next three 26-28, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.

The Cards were led by Chloe Chicoine's 14 kills and 14 digs. Redshirt freshman Chloe Meester had 12 kills, two aces and a pari of blocks to pace the UofL offense. Addison Makun had 10 blocks and eight kills, hitting .583. Blair Thiebaud had 39 assists, an ace and six blocks.
Cha'lei Reid led UH with 13 kills and three aces.  Miliana Sylvester added seven kills on .375 hitting and was in on six blocks.

 The series concludes Tuesday with the rematch at 1 a.m. ET at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Â
