Louisville Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville director of track & field and cross country Joe Franklin has announced the cross country schedule for the 2025 season.
Franklin's third season at the helm of the Louisville program will begin on September 13 at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. for the second consecutive season.
The squads will then split between a pair of meets on the first weekend of October, with half of the squad heading to Chicago, Ill. for the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on October 3 and the other half remaining in Louisville for the Live in Lou Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on October 4.
Louisville will then close out their regular season on October 17 in Madison, Wis. at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, one of the premier regular season meets of the NCAA season.
The Cards will return to E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on October 31 to begin their postseason at the ACC Cross Country Championships, which will mark the first time Louisville has hosted the conference championship meet since 2017.
Following the conference championships, the Cardinals will contest the NCAA Southeast Regional on November 14 in Charlottesville, Va., which will serve as the qualifying meet for the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Qualifying teams and individuals will then travel to Columbia, Mo. for the national championship meet set to take place on November 23.
