Louisville holds ring ceremony after the match

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Cara Cresse had seven kills and six blocks to lead the University of Louisville volleyball team to a 25-12, 25-16, 23-25, 15-8 win over their All-Star Alumni Saturday afternoon in L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

UofL's Ava Utterback had eight kills and Payton Petersen and Chloe Schrand each added six kills. Libero Kamden Schrand had 15 digs with Reese Robins adding four blocks to spearhead the defense.

The Alumni All-Stars were led by Claire Chaussee's ten kills with Aiko Jones adding six kills and five digs and two aces.

Speaking about the sold out crowd of 1,010, libero Kamden Schrand said, "Card Nation always shows out and sells out everything, even a scrimmage and that is so special. The cheering gives us encouragement to keep fighting. We feel the love for sure."

The Alumni All-Stars were coached by Anna DeBeer and Sarah Drury Petkovic. The All-Star roster included Aiko Jones, Claire Chaussee, Elena Scott, Charitie Luper, Elle Glock, Emily Scott and Jamie Vasilou.
