
Plumb Earns CSC Academic All-America Third Team Honors

Aimee Plumb earns the honor for the second time in her career
AUSTIN, Texas – University of Louisville field hockey graduate Aimee Plumb has been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Women's At-Large third team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
This marks the second time Plumb has earned the honor (formerly known as CoSIDA Academic All-America) after initially receiving national recognition following the 2022-23 season. She becomes the second player in program history to garner the accolade multiple times along with Jessica Javelet (2004, 2005, 2006).
Plumb, a fifth-year senior midfielder from Canterbury Kent, England earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in art, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in May 2025. She has collected numerous academic honors including 2024-25 ACC Excellence Award.
Among her other academic highlights, the four-time CSC Academic All-District selection was twice named the ACC Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year (2022, 2023) and NFHCA National Scholar Athlete (2020, 2021). She is also a five-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and All-ACC Field Hockey Academic Team honoree.
The team co-captain completed her playing career as a three-time All-America selection (2021, 2022, 2025) after previously taking home the honor in 2021 and 2022. She is also a five-time NFHCA All-West Region team selection and earned a trio of all-ACC honors.
In 2024, Plumb scored four goals and dished out four assists for 12 points on the season as she climbed the school record book. She finished her career ranked seventh on the program's all-time list for points (86) and goals (30) and ninth in career assists (26).
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District and All-America recognition, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
The women's at-large team is comprised of student-athletes from beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo. Overall, 46 Division I student-athletes were recognized with a total of 19 honorees carrying a perfect 4.00 GPA, including seven on the first team. Plumb is one of eight repeat selections on this year's teams.
