
2025 Field Hockey Schedule Released

Cards will play 10 regular games at Trager Stadium and host the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has released the Cardinals' 2025 schedule. The 18-game regular season slate features 10 home contests along with a preseason scrimmage against Bellarmine. Louisville's Trager Stadium will also serve as the host site for the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Championship.

The Cardinals' schedule also features 11 opponents who finished the 2024 season among the top 20 in the final National Field Hockey Coaches Association rankings – with six teams standing in the top 10. Eight of Louisville's 2025 opponents were NCAA tournament teams last season including national champion Northwestern and runner-up Saint Joseph's along with semifinalist North Carolina.

Louisville will take the field at Trager Stadium in late August with a preseason scrimmage against Bellarmine followed by a with a road scrimmage at Miami (Ohio).

The Cards will play their home opener against Michigan State on Friday, August 29 followed by a Sunday matchup against Ohio University.
The first weekend of September will see the Cardinals travel to Bloomington, Ind., for a pair of games starting with a neutral contest versus Drexel and closing the weekend against Indiana.

Louisville then opens a three-game home stand starting with a matchup against the defending national champions Northwestern followed by two more non-conference games with Iowa and Ohio State visiting Trager Stadium the following week. Louisville will then hit the road for Philadelphia to face 2024 NCAA runner-up Saint Joseph's.
Up next, the Cardinals travel across the country to play their ACC opener against Stanford before return home to host Wake Forest and cross-town rival Bellarmine.

Louisville will resume conference action with a tough weekend at Duke and the North Carolina. The Cards will continue their six-game stretch against ACC opponents when they take on California and Virginia on consecutive Fridays before traveling to their last road game to face off against Boston College.

The regular season finale features a home matchup against Syracuse.
The ACC Championship will be held Nov. 5-8 at Trager Stadium. The Cardinals last hosted the event in 2017 when they advanced to the title game.
