
Cardinals In Ninth After Second Round of Lexington Regional

Carmen Griffiths is tied for 11th overall at even-par through two rounds
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team finds itself in ninth place after the second round of the NCAA Lexington Regional Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals were 10-over-par 298 for the round at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville. Heading into the final round, the Cardinals are nine strokes behind fifth place and the final automatic qualifying position.
Carmen Griffiths and Bailey Burkett led the way for the Cardinals on Tuesday as they both posted 2-over-par 74 rounds in the second round. Griffiths had three birdies while Burkett finished with two. Griffiths is tied for 11th overall at even-par while Burkett is tied for 39th at 6-over-par through 36 holes.
The rest of the team all carded a 3-over-par 75 for their second round scores. Thienna Huynh and Veronika Exposito both had two birdies on the day while Beatriz Barrios had one for her round. Huynh is tied for 28th overall at 3-over-par, Barrios is tied for 39th overall at 6-over-par and Exposito is tied for 46th overall at 8-over-par through the first two rounds of competition.
